A Rally to Remember
Honoring Phil and the Spirit of Community
Today, we hosted the Impact & Influence Magazine Spring Rally—and it was absolutely epic. From start to finish, the day was a celebration of passion, connection, and the open road, made even more meaningful by a tribute that touched every one of us who attended. Our journey began in El Dorado Hills, where a dynamic lineup of machines and their drivers gathered, ready to hit the road. Among the cars in attendance were a BMW 335i, Corvette Z06, Ford Mustang Bullitt, Infiniti Q50, Tesla Model S P100D, and a Mercedes E350—each bringing its own character and roar to the experience.
Gooding & Co
Why You Should Go
Each year during Monterey Car Week, among the many concours, cocktail receptions, and closed-door unveilings, one event rises above the rest in sheer drama, energy, and prestige: the Gooding & Company Pebble Beach Auction. For collectors, enthusiasts, and investors alike, this isn’t just an auction—it’s a stage where history changes hands. Whether you're a seasoned bidder or simply a lover of timeless automotive design, Gooding & Co. offers a rare glimpse into the highest echelon of car culture, where craftsmanship meets investment, and every gavel strike echoes through the halls of motoring history.
Lyle Tanner
A Ferrari Legend
In my Jay Leno article, I shared a bit about my years as a Ferrari parts broker, a journey that began in 2008. However, there’s so much more to this story — specifically, a chapter that revolves around Lyle Tanner, a man whose influence on my career and my passion for Ferrari is immeasurable. By 2008, I was already building my second business — an up-and-coming motorcycle helmet company that was growing quickly. But as successful as that venture was, I felt a deep yearning for something more. Something that would align with my love for Ferrari.
Finding a Trustworthy Mechanic
My Experience with Luxe Automotive
Finding a new mechanic is a lot like finding a new doctor. There’s a huge trust factor involved, and you never really know what the experience will be like until you’ve gone through it. Will they actually help you, or are they just looking to drain your wallet? I drive a beautiful Mercedes, one that has a lot of miles on the clock. As anyone who has owned a German luxury car knows, they’re both robust and delicate—built to last but prone to temperamental issues as they age. Over the years, I’ve been a regular at my Mercedes-Benz dealer, but the service bills have become astronomical. It was time to look for an alternative—a trustworthy, high-quality shop.
